Both the militants were killed in an encounter on Tuesday by security forces in Nawakadal area of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. Both terrorist organizations are said to be associated with Hizbul Mujahideen (HM). They have also recovered arms and ammunition.
Two security forces personnel have also been injured in this encounter. Police said that after receiving intelligence about the presence of terrorists, on Monday night, the police started a search operation by sieging the area, after which the encounter started.
A police official said that the encounter started late at around 2 pm and after that there was no firing for about five hours. After this, the encounter with the terrorists started again at around eight in the morning. The official said, both terrorists have been killed in the campaign of the Nawakadal of Srinagar.
He said that a CRPF jawan and a Jammu and Kashmir policeman were injured in the firing of terrorists. The official said that as a precaution, all mobile internet and all mobile phone services have been discontinued except for BSNL postpaid service in the city
