Latest Shopian News: Four aggressors were killed by security forces in the Shopian region of south Kashmir on Monday. Security forces killed five terrorists, including the Hizbul authority. Up until this point, nine terrorists have been cleared out in around 24 hours. On Sunday, the current year’s biggest activity against fear mongers was done,in which five terrorists were killed simultaneously.
The information of the presence of 5-6 terrorist in Reban village of Zainapora area of Shopian district, the Ary’s 1-Rashtriya Rifles, 178 battalions of CRPF and the Janapora SOG started the search operation by sieging the entire area on Sunday morning. During this time, terrorists hiding in a house started firing on the security forces. The encounter started with retaliation. Up to five o’clock in the evening, five terrorists were killed in an encounter that lasted more than nine hours.
According to Live Heed sources, Hizbul commander Farooq Ahmed Nalli and a Pakistani were also among the slain terrorists. The house where all the terrorists were hiding was detonated. Police said three AK 47 rifles, two pistols and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants. The police spokesman has said that if the slain terrorists are members of someone’s family, they can claim it.
The entire area was tightly cordoned to ensure the terrorists did not escape. All routes leading to the encounter site were sealed. The mob dispersed on the spot using mild force.
