Major General level talks between India and China were held on Thursday to decrease the tension on the LAC. The meeting between the military officers of the two countries continued for more than 6 hours. Military level talks are being held in both countries to overcome the tension on LAC since early May.

Earlier on Wednesday, a meeting of Major General level was held in Galvan Valley. The meeting took place after a violent clash in the Galvan Valley on Monday. This meeting, which lasted for 3 hours, was uncertain.

After China claimed government over the Galwan valley, probably for the first time in decades, India threatened China Thursday that making “false and illogical” claims were hostile to the June 6 agreement between the senior administrators for de-escalation and rest along LAC.

Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi has also blamed India for dividing the LAC. As India’s former ambassador to China Gautam Bambawale says though, China seems to have ignored that India seems not to allow its import or outline of the LAC

Evoking PM Narendra Modi‘s announcement Wednesday, the ministry said the government continued fully charged to securing India’s independence and national integrity, even as it was assured of the need for support of calm and equable in the border regions and the determination of disputes for discussion.

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar sent that the call of great importance was for the Chinese side to rethink its moves and make restorative advances. “They ought to carefully regard and watch the Line of Actual Control and not make any one-sided move to adjust it. 

It was concurred that the two sides would execute the dis-commitment comprehension of sixth June genuinely. Neither one of the sides would make any move to heighten matters and rather, guarantee harmony and serenity according to two-sided understandings and conventions,” said Srivastava.

10 Indian soldiers released from China after talks

 The Indian Army has said that no Indian soldiers involved in violent clashes with the Chinese Army are blowing in the Galwan Valley of eastern Ladakh on Monday and Tuesday.

This was said by the army on Thursday evening.  According to people linked to the case, after three days of talks, 10 Indian Army staff including two majors have been released by the Chinese Army. 

The army said in a short statement, “It is clarified that no Indian soldier is missing in action” About 45 soldiers have died.

The last time in July 1962, after the battle in the Galwan Valley, the Chinese Army had caught Indian soldiers. At that time, at least 30 Indian soldiers were killed and several dozens were taken by the Chinese army after a fierce struggle. 

Military sources said a total of 76 army personnel were brutally attacked by the Chinese Army on Monday, out of which 18 were severely injured and 58 injured with minor injuries. He said that 18 workers are being treated in one hospital in Leh while 58 others are admitted in various hospitals.

The Indian and Chinese side held Major General-level talks on Thursday for the third consecutive day, with the departure of troops, as well as the return of normalcy in the surrounding areas of the Galvan Valley.

 The conflict of the valley is the biggest battle between the soldiers of the two countries, at that time around 80 soldiers of India lost their lives while the death toll from China was more than 300.
