Jammu and Kashmir: Encounter between Security Forces and Militants in Sopore, 2 Terrorists Eliminated, Operations Underway

Two terrorists have been killed in a continuous encounter between security forces and militants in Sopore (District Baramulla) in Jammu and Kashmir. A joint team of Army’s 22-RR, police and CRPF is carrying out this operation.

The police know that two to three terrorists are already in the area. Based on this news, a joint team of security forces started to cordon the area.

An encounter broke out between security forces and militants in Sopore area of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, police said.

Through this, the terrorists, marking themselves circled, began firing on the security forces. After this, a joint team of security forces also took the front. Security forces succeeded in killing two terrorists in an encounter that lasted several hours. The encounter is currently going on

Singh said that Pakistan is in the process of infiltrating the terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. He wants to infiltrate these terrorists from Nowshera, Rajouri, Poonch, Kupwara sectors. But our soldiers are cautious. There is excellent coordination between the security forces.

A police officer said the search operation transformed into an encounter after terrorists fired upon a search party of the forces, who countered.

The Pakistani army is violating the ceasefire only to infiltrate the terrorists. According to sources, since February 2020, Pakistan has violated ceasefire 270 times on LoC in Rajouri and Poonch districts alone. More than 30 times, the terrorists tried to infiltrate, but each time the army retaliated.
