Sidharth Malhotra speaks about Masakali controversy and said “that he too would have been disappointed if anyone had made a bad remake of his movies.”
‘Masakali 2.0’ faced loads of criticism, not just from the audience but even those who were worked to the original song. AR Rahman to Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Prasoon Joshi have expressed their disappointment with the remix which features Sidharth Malhtora and Tara Sutaria.
Reacting to the outrage Sidharth recently said in an interview that everyone’s to be blamed as a team. He brought that he has labored in recreations inside the past like ‘Kaala Chashma’ and ‘Disco Deewane’ which were massive hits. Sharing his opinion, Sidharth said that the fashion turned into dying and that the audience didn’t have the endurance and as a listener he is of the same opinion with them.
Sidharth also said, “I keep thinking from an actor’s point of view, if someone had to remake a film that I have been a part of and it has not been done with utmost taste or to someone’s satisfaction, of course it can be annoying. So in that case, yes, it is completely valid.”
Sidharth also said that ‘Masakali 2.0’, which is recreated by Tanishk Bagchi, was initially a promotional song for their film ‘Marjaavaan’.
The original song was composed by music maestro AR Rahman and sung by Mohit Chauhan. Prasoon Joshi had penned the lyrics and the number featured belonged to Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Delhi 6’
