Irfan Pathan tweeted on Palghar incident, said – terrible and shameful

Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has termed the incident of mob lynching of three people including two sadhus in Palghar, Maharashtra. Irrfan has tweeted and expressed grief over the incident. Nearly 200 people lobbed two sadhus and a driver at Palghar in Maharashtra late Thursday night. Police said on this incident that this is the second such incident in three days. 

While tweeting on this incident, Irfan Pathan wrote, ‘It is very sad to see pictures of Palghar mob lynching. Quite horrible and barbaric. Shameful

According to the police, the mob lynched both the monk sitting in the eco van and his driver as a thief. Assistant Police Inspector Anandrao Kale of Casa Police Station said that the van was coming from Nashik when an angry mob stopped near Gadhichanchale village on Dadhadi-Khanvel road. Kale said that Mobb first stopped the van and asked questions and then pulled over and started beating them. The driver somehow called the police and the team reached the spot. 

Irfan Pathan asked if religion is removed, then what fun topic would you like to talk about?

Anand Rao Kale said- There were a large number of people in the mob and we tried to save the sadhus and drivers but the mob attacked us too and started throwing stones. The result of this was that the three died there due to beating.
