Famous Choreographer Saroj Khan Dies Due To Cardiac Arrest, Bollywood Immersed In Mourning

Famous choreographer Saroj Khan has died at Guru Nanak Hospital in Bandra, Mumbai. Saroj Khan, who was admitted with a breath complaint on June 17, has died of cardiac arrest at 1.52 am today.

 Choreographer Saroj Khan had critical diabetes and a similar illness. Her coronavirus test was negative. She was 71 years old.

In the family of Saroj Khan, husband B. Sohanlal is survived by sons Hamid Khan and daughters Hina Khan and Sukna Khan. Saroj Khan started working as a background dancer at the age of three, got her first break as a confident choreographer in 1974 with ‘Geeta Mera Naam.’

Film actress Nimrat Kaur tweeted condolence on Saroj Khan’s demise, ‘Saroj Ji’s name introduced the word’ choreographer ‘in my life. A genius who immortalized the stars and who, by her iconic work, defines an era. May her loved ones get courage and strength this time. There will never be another like her … #RIPSarojKhan #Legend ‘

The three-time National Award winner has been recognized with choreographing 2000 songs, including many iconic dance numbers. These include Mr. India’s Ka Hawa Hawaii (1987), Tezaab Se Ek Do Teen (1988), Son Dhak-Dhak Karne Laga (1992), and Dola Re Dola from Devdas (2002). She last choreographed Madhuri Dixit in Karan Johar’s movie Kalank Tabah Ho Gayi in 2019.
