Pakistan’s England Tour Threatened, 7 More Cricketers Corona Infected

Seven more Pakistan cricketers selected for the tour of England, including Mohammad Hafeez and Wahab Riaz, have been found infected with Covid-19 taking the total number of infected players to 10. 

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed this on Tuesday. Players found positive on Tuesday include Kashif Bhatti, Mohammad Hasnain, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Imran Khan, Hafeez and Riaz. On Monday, Shadab Khan, Hyder Ali and Haris Rauf were found positive. 

PCB CEO Wasim Khan said in a media conference, ‘This is not a good situation. All 10 players are fit and young cricketers. If these players can be corona, then anyone can be a victim of Kovid-19. Wasim said support staff member masseur Malang Ali has also been found to be coronavirus positive. Wasim informed that players and officials will now gather in Lahore and another round of trials will take place on 25 June. 

The revised team will be announced the next day. He informed that the team is scheduled to leave on June 28 for the series to be held next month. Wasim said, “It is a matter of concern but we should not be afraid at this time, because we have time now.” He said that players and officials would rest after reaching England.

 A total of 10 players of the Pakistan cricket team have so far been found to be Corona positive. He had picked 29 players for the England tour. In this case, one third of his corona has been infected. Due to this, now there is a danger in his tour of England. After such players are found positive,

 it has to be seen whether the PCB is able to send the players to England in due time. For information, let us tell you that the coronavirus epidemic is spreading fast in Pakistan. On Tuesday, 105 people died and now there are 1,85,034 cases in the country.
