Seven more Pakistan cricketers selected for the tour of England, including Mohammad Hafeez and Wahab Riaz, have been found infected with Covid-19 taking the total number of infected players to 10.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed this on Tuesday. Players found positive on Tuesday include Kashif Bhatti, Mohammad Hasnain, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Imran Khan, Hafeez and Riaz. On Monday, Shadab Khan, Hyder Ali and Haris Rauf were found positive.
PCB CEO Wasim Khan said in a media conference, ‘This is not a good situation. All 10 players are fit and young cricketers. If these players can be corona, then anyone can be a victim of Kovid-19. Wasim said support staff member masseur Malang Ali has also been found to be coronavirus positive. Wasim informed that players and officials will now gather in Lahore and another round of trials will take place on 25 June.
