Just 22 days are left for the Indian Premier League 2020 (IPL 2020) to begin in the UAE, and 12 players from the Chennai Super Kings team (CSK) have been detected Corona positive along with the staff.
As per sources after the players and care staff were found to be Corona positive, the team of Chennai Super Kings has been approached to go to the Quarantine.
As indicated by one of the crew people from CSK who agreed to discuss InsideSport in extreme secrecy, they declared that they are in a ‘total condition of stun’ with the turn of events.
“We are in a total condition of stun and terrified. We played it safe and followed the BCCI rules as far as possible. The infection has hit the group”, said the CSK crew people.
Live Heed sources said “ It is accepted that They were contaminated during the camp in Chennai. Notwithstanding, Chennai Super Kings officials and BCCI have denied confirming the incident.
Fast bowler Deepak Chahar is Corona positive. It is also being informed that the disease has spread simply after the group arrives in Dubai. This is the reason the group has been isolated for an extra week. The CSK group went to Dubai on 21 August itself. The group’s first match is to be hung on 19 September.
The names, according to the experts, will be issued formally on Saturday.
Following a seven days quarantine period, the group will be examined once more, and if the outcomes come negative, they will be permitted to enter IPL 2020 Bio-Secure Bubble. In this protected condition, the players should wear wrist groups so their movements can be followed.
Concerning the CSK players and care staff who have tried positive now, they will, as per the competition’s SOP, be disconnected from the squad and be quarantined for about fourteen days, after which they should clear two COVID tests before getting qualified to contend.
Yet, despite everything, they have a chance to recover and be accessible for the main game.
