Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opt to bat first. Both openers Jos Buttler (wk) and Steven Smith (c) made only 27 runs partnership and lose their 1st wicket and then Captain Steven Smith(5), Samson(4) and Uthappa(17) back to pavilion on low scores. After that a new player Lomror came and made highest 47 runs for the team. In the end of the innings Rahul Tewatia and Jofra Archer made runs with good strike rate, Rahul hit 3 sixes and made 24 runs in just half bowls of runs.
On other end, RCB bowlers did the great job and took wickets time to time in the whole innings. Udana and Chahal took 2 and 3 wickets for the RCB.
In the 2nd RCB innings Devdutt Padikkal made his 3rd IPL fifty and impress everyone with his batting talent and made 63 runs in 45 balls. And finally Virat Kohli made his 1st fifty of the tournament and overcome his silly mistakes from last matches. Kohli made 72 runs in just 53 balls with 2 sixes and 7 fours. On the other end RR bowlers did not impress with the bowl except Jofra Archer who took 1 wicket and bowled well.
