The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in India was Facebook’s greatest sponsor on social, elections, and policy centered issues over the most recent year and a half. The company has spent more than Rs 4.61 crore since February 2019. Congress is the second-biggest opposition in the country with the use of Rs 1.84 crore on the lists.
This data has been revealed on August 24 by the tracker, which has data on social media advertising expenses. Four of the top 10 advertisers in this category are connected with BJP. According to the tracker, three such people promote the vote of the ruling party of Delhi.
Two of these four network pages are ‘My First Vote Modi Ko (1.39 Crore)’, and ‘Bharat Ki Mann Ki Baat (2.24 Crore Rupees)’. Aside from this, there is ‘Country with Namo,’ which is named a news and media site (Rs 1.28 crore). Aside from this, another page (Rs. 65 crores) is related to BJP leader MP RK Sinha.
If all these expenses are hit collectively, the BJP paid Rs 10.17 crore, which is approximately 64 percent of the total advertising (15.81) out of the top ten.
The period incorporates the April-May 2019 general elections, with the BJP coming back to control with a mind larger part. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was also remembered for the best 10 ten lists, which raged through 69 lakh rupees. As per the information, in this classification, Facebook India spent Rs 59.65 crore from February 2019.
The promotions were not restricted to only sites and applications yet were spread across other Facebook properties, including Instagram, online audience and Messenger.
