Mukesh Ambani has become the fourth richest person in the world. He achieved this position by beating Bernard Arno, Europe’s richest businessman and owner of the world’s famous luxury fashion company LVMH. On Saturday, Arno’s wealth was reduced to $ 80.2 billion. On the list on Saturday, just above Mukesh Ambani is Amazon owner Jeff Bezos (Amazon), Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and Facebook head Mark Zuckerberg.
Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries Ltd, was fourth on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index daily with a net worth of $ 80.6 billion (Rs 6.04 lakh crore).
In recent weeks, Ambani has overtaken giants like Warren Buffett (Berkshire Hathaway), Sergey Brin, and Larry Page (Alphabet Inc.) and Elon Musk (Tesla), among the top 10 richest in the world. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Ambani’s wealth increased by $ 22 billion (about Rs 1.65 lakh crore) this year.
The main reason for this is that in the just two months after 22 April this year, top technology companies and investors in RIL’s newest entity, Jio Platforms, have invested around Rs 1.5 lakh crore in total.
These include veteran investors such as Facebook Inc, Google, KKR, Mubadala, General Atlantic, and Silver Lake Partners. Due to this, the market value of the company almost doubled this year.
