CM Adityanath take bully action under NSA after doctors, cops attacked in Moradabad, UP

A group of health workers get attacked while they went to check a suspected coronavirus positive patient, and  convince the suspected patient to be quarantined. An unruly mob pelted stones at the medical team and police personnel accompanying them in Haji Neb Masjid area of Moradabad.

Three people, including a specialist and a pharmacist specialist, got injured when stones were pelted at the ambulance carrying a team of health workers and police faculty in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad on Wednesday, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr SP Garg said. 

A gathering of health workers had gone to check a suspected coronavirus positive patient, and was assaulted while they were persuading the speculated patient to be isolated. An uncontrollable horde pelted stones at the clinical group and police work force going with them in Haji Neb Masjid territory of Moradabad. 

A number of parked vehicles were also vandalised in the incident.

“At the point when our group boarded the ambulance with the Covid-19 patient, out of nowhere a group assembled and began pelting stones. A few specialists are still there in the region. We were harmed in the assault,” the driver of the rescue vehicle which had gone to the territory said.

As updates on the assault on health workers spread in the territory, both the District Magistrate and the SSP arrived at the site. 

A coronavirus understanding had supposedly kicked the bucket in the region a couple of days prior after which the health workers had gone to keep an eye on the relatives of the person in question. They were making a beeline for an isolated focus at the hour of the episode. 

Dr HC Mishra and other people  from the medical group have gotten injured  after stones were pelted at them by the horde.

Taking note of the incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that the National Security Act (NSA) would be slapped against those responsible for such acts.

“Doctors, health workers and officers and workers associated with sanitation work, police officers are working day and night at this time of crisis,” the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said in a statement.

“Attacking these people is an unforgivable crime. Action will be taken against those guilty under the Disaster Management Act and the NSA. Moreover, the loss of state property will be strictly compensated from them,” reads the statement.

Amit Pathak, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Moradabad, has said that strict action will be taken in the wake of recognizing the individuals who were engaged with the occurrence. 

“A few individuals from the medical group have been harmed. This is an infringement of Section 144 and the Epidemic Diseases Act and the Disaster Management Act. Move will be made under the National Security Act,” Pathak said, reverberating Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
