Govt hasn’t yet chosen continuing air travel, says Hardeep Singh Puri

India is yet to settle on lifting an about month-long restriction on air travel, common aeronautics serve Hardeep Singh Puri stated, looking to stop aircrafts that have begun taking new ticket appointments from 4 May onwards. 

“No choice has been taken so far to begin tasks of residential and International flights post the Lockdown,” Puri tweeted on Sunday. 

Puri said aircrafts “will be given adequate notification and time for restarting activities”. 

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has independently given a round to all carriers on the issue. 

Both the legislature and the controller had to intercede throughout the end of the week after Air India Ltd opened its booking window on Saturday to fly travelers on select national and global courses from 4 May and 1 June onwards, individually. The national transporter was just joining private part equals in taking appointments without there being any administrative leeway to do as such

The subsequent individual said India would open its skies in stages relying upon the status of covid-19 cases in a specific country and the area around it. “The legislature is therefore reluctant to settle on global travel boycott at any point in the near future in case its achievement in controlling the infection endures a misfortune,” the individual said.
